Kingdom Hearts: the Novelization

I: Invasion

Premise for "Kingdom Hearts: the Novelization"

This is part one of my project, which is to write 'Kingdom Hearts' as a novel. (Crazy, I know, but would the world be like
without the wackos?)

Like Viper A's movie project, this is aimed at an audience that hasn't played the game, or for people
who simply can't operate a video game controller (even though it seems that every child under the age of 12 can).

I love the story to 'Kingdom Hearts', and I just jumped at the chance to explore and develop the characters. For example, Riku has a negligent mother in this piece (psycologically explaining why he caters to Maleficant so quickly later), which is just about the only thing that is truly all me.

Almost everything else is word for word out of the game's script. I've made some of the lines less corny, and I've fired up a couple of scences (namely Sora and Kairi watching the sunset before the Heartless come). Any feedback on this would be much appreciated (especially for that sunset scene), since I don't want to devote hours and hours of my time to something stupid. Email me at matthew_aj@turbowave.com.
